Institutional Repository. The Inter-University Cooperation is supporting open access to knowledge and more specifically to Laotian academic research through its assistance in developing an institutional repository for the National University of Laos (NUoL). An institutional repository is an archive for collecting, preserving, and disseminating digital copies of the intellectual output of a research institution. The Faculty of Law and Political Science of NuOL has a key role to play in this development with the support of the Luxembourg cooperation. The University of Luxembourg and LuxDev are jointly supporting this initiative, with our partner EIFL. A repository aims to strengthen NUoL’s tradition of research excellence, preserve NUoL’s research outputs and improve the dissemination and visibility of a variety of NUoL’s scholarly materials and provide a free and persistent point of access to them. The repository is complementary to the e-library system. It could also be the platform for a future digital Lao Law Journal!
